Markdown Pro is built privacy-first. This policy explains exactly what the extension does and does not do with your data.

Summary

• We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit your personal data or documents.
• We do not use any tracking, analytics, or advertising.
• The extension is fully functional offline after installation.
• The only external service contacted is ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), and only if you choose to view, purchase, or manage a Pro subscription.

What data the extension stores

Markdown Pro stores the following locally on your device using Chrome's storage.local. This data never leaves your computer:

• Your preferences (theme, font size, content width, auto-render and banner settings).
• Custom CSS you enter (Pro feature).
• Your scratchpad contents, so they persist between sessions.
• A short list (up to 10) of recently rendered page titles and URLs, shown in the History tab. You can clear this at any time from the popup.
• A cached flag indicating whether your Pro subscription is active.

You can remove all of this at any time by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling the extension.

Your documents

Markdown content you open, paste, or edit is processed entirely within your browser to render the preview. Your documents are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared. Rendering, editing, syntax highlighting, and diagram generation all happen locally using libraries bundled inside the extension.

Network activity

After installation, Markdown Pro does not make network requests to operate its core features. The single exception is payment and subscription management:

• If you choose to upgrade, restore, or manage Pro, the extension opens or communicates with ExtensionPay at https://extensionpay.com. ExtensionPay (which uses Stripe for payment processing) handles checkout and subscription status. We never see or store your payment card details.
